The Alpenlodge is located in the picturesque district of "Zer Bännu," in a sunny hillside position at the edge of the forest – offering a breathtaking view of the Matterhorn and the village of Zermatt.
In winter, the ski slopes practically end right at your doorstep, while in summer, hiking trails begin just outside. The views from here are unparalleled — nowhere else in Zermatt can you enjoy the Matterhorn and the village so beautifully and undisturbed.

It’s about a 6-minute walk to Sunnegga Station.
The train station is about a 10–12 minute walk away.
Reach the Gornergrat Railway in approximately 10–12 minutes by foot.
It’s about a 15-minute walk from the hotel to the village center.
The bus stop is about a 6–7 minute walk from the Alpenlodge.
Der Bus bringt Sie zur „Matterhorn Glacier Paradise“ Station.
Access to the green line is included with your ski pass.
Taxi service is available with vouchers from the reception, priced at CHF 20.00 per journey.
Zermatt taxis operate on a meter, and using our taxi vouchers ensures the best fare.
Arrival – how to reach us
Zermatt has always been a car-free village. Here, electric taxis provide eco-friendly transportation.
We’ll ensure a smooth transfer from Zermatt station or the village entrance — just let us know when you’re arriving.

by train
From Visp, take the train towards Zermatt. Zermatt has only one train station. You can find the timetable here.
by car
The drive by car ends in Täsch, the village before Zermatt. In Täsch, you can park your car at the "Matterhorn Terminal." From there, you can continue by train to Zermatt or take a taxi.
