Amazing view and staff

We enjoyed a beautiful Junior Suite with a chandelier and the most amazing view of The Matterhorn. An amazing place to enjoy my birthday. The staff were excellent and easy to communicate with. Breakfast was very nice and the coffee exceptional. We would definitely return. I must add, it is a little distance from the station and town and uphill. We enjoyed the walk, but you can get a taxi which you can buy vouchers for 20 CHF. Taxi to and from the station was provided as we stayed 2 nights.

The Alpenlodge is such a great find! Deborah, Martin, Ellie and the entire staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. They provided us with detailed recommendations and went over and beyond despite the Christmas holiday. The spa (sauna, steam room, & relaxation area, view from the hotel, affordable same-day laundry service, included breakfast and afternoon tea & cakes were cherries on top of an already wonderful experience. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough. The location is great, especially if you want to have an incredible view and be proximal to the main train station.

Great hotel where service is a priority and there is a really family atmosphere. The staff were all extremely friendly and the breakfast was delicious. There is also a really nice spa area with a view of the Matterhorn! The longer walk from the village is worth it.

Pets are welcome at our hotel. We charge CHF 10.00 per night for pets.

Während dem Frühstück bitten wir Sie, Ihren Hund im Zimmer zu lassen.

If your pet stays in the room during the day, the room will not be cleaned.

Check-in at Alpenlodge Zermatt is available from 3:00 PM to 9:30 PM.
If you arrive in Zermatt earlier, you are welcome to store your luggage with us and enjoy the day carefree in the village.

If you are arriving after 9:30 PM, we kindly ask you to inform us in advance. This way, we can organize your late arrival and transfer to Zermatt in the best possible way.

Check-out is between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
If you wish to depart earlier, we kindly ask you to settle your hotel bill the day before.

On your departure day, you can store your luggage with us and enjoy your time in Zermatt at a relaxed pace – before heading home.

  • Summer: Free cancellation up to 5 days before arrival, after which we charge 100%.
  • Winter: Free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival. After that, a 100% charge applies.

The non-refundable rate cannot be cancelled or refunded. No refunds will be issued after the 5 or 14-day period, even if the reservation is not used.

The taxi transfer from the entrance of Zermatt / Zermatt train station is included for stays of 2 nights or more.
