Arrival Zermatt & Alpenlodge

Zermatt is car-free. If you are travelling by car, you can park your car in Täsch & travel on to Zermatt by train / car taxi.

As soon as you are between Täsch & Zermatt, you can call us & we will organise the taxi transfer from the train station / taxi rank in Zermatt to the hotel. This service is included from 2 nights, costs CHF 20.00 for 1 night.

Check in

Check-in is from 2.00 - 9.30 pm.

If you arrive earlier in Zermatt, you are welcome to leave your luggage with us.

If you arrive after 21:30, please let us know early enough so that we can organise your arrival and transfer.

Check out

Check-out is from 08.00 - 11.00 am.

If you leave earlier, we ask you to settle your bill the day before.

You are welcome to leave your luggage with us on the day of departure if you still want to enjoy the day in Zermatt.

There is also the option of having your luggage sent to the railway station.

10 of our 12 rooms have Matterhorn view.

The two double rooms have no view (Matterhorn view).

You can also see the Matterhorn from the breakfast room, the lounge, the SPA & the communal terrace in front of the hotel.

cancellation policy

In summer, you can cancel your stay free of charge up to 5 days before arrival.

In winter you can cancel your stay free of charge up to 14 days before arrival. After that 100% will be charged.

The non-refundable rate cannot be cancelled or refunded.

location & moving around

The Alpenlodge is located on the edge of the forest in the quiet ‘Petit Village’ neighbourhood.

The Bahnhofstrasse & the Gornergrat train can be reached on foot in 15 minutes.

Sunnegga valley station is approx. 5-7 minutes' walk away.

The nearest bus stop is approx. 5 minutes away. The bus is included in the ski pass.

You can also get taxi vouchers at the reception. One journey / one voucher costs CHF 20.00.

pets

Pets are very welcome & we do not charge extra.

However, the pet must wait in the room for a short time during breakfast.

If the dog stays in the room during the day, the room will not be cleaned.

room cleaning

The rooms are cleaned daily.

The beds are changed after 3 days. Towels are also changed after 3 days.

If you would like to have the towels changed earlier, place them on the floor.

Please always think of the environment (water and energy shortages are unfortunately a reality today)

intolerances

Please let us know early enough if you have any intolerances.

Whether it's gluten, lactose, we'll be happy to prepare for you & make sure everything is right.

Breakfast is served from 7.30 - 10.30 am.
